Cassie Spotted Enjoying A Night Out In NYC While Diddy Denied Bail
The last year hasn’t been easy for Cassie, between filing her rape and trafficking lawsuit against Diddy in November 2023 and footage of him assaulting her coming out. She was recently spotted out and about in New York City while the Bad Boy founder copes with the reality of his arrest and has been denied bail.
TMZ obtained footage of the 38-year-old artist heading to dinner at Left Bank on Wednesday (Sept. 18). She flashed a huge smile as she showed her friends something on her phone. The pseudo-videographers caught her leaving the restaurant, getting into a car, and entering an apartment building. They attempted to ask the “Me & U” singer how she felt about the former REVOLT chairman being arrested, but she did not offer any comments.
Nonetheless, it is good to see Cassie in good spirits. Fans hadn’t seen or heard from her since May when she shared a statement about the footage of Diddy assaulting her in a hotel in 2016.
“Thank you for all the love and support from my family, friends, strangers, and those I have yet to meet,” Cassie wrote in an Instagram post. “The outpouring of love has created a place for my younger self to settle and feel safe now, but this is only the beginning… Domestic violence is THE issue. It broke me down to someone I never thought I would become. With a lot of hard work, I am better today, but I will always be recovering from my past.”
Diddy finds himself suffering the consequences of his many alleged heinous actions. He was arrested this week for racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking by force, kidnapping, arson, and more. He and his legal team proposed a bail plan that included paying $50 million, handing over his and his family’s passports, and staying put in one residence, but the bail was denied.
Despite moving to New York City to cooperate with police, the former Making The Band star and his attorneys maintain that he is innocent. “We are disappointed with the decision to pursue what we believe is an unjust prosecution of Mr. Combs by the U.S. attorney’s office,” Marc Agnifilo, Diddy’s lawyer, said in a statement on Monday (Sept. 16). “Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs is a music icon, self-made entrepreneur, loving family man, and proven philanthropist who has spent the last 30 years building an empire, adoring his children, and working to uplift the Black community. He is an imperfect person, but he is not a criminal.”
