Cam Newton To Bring “Real Talk” And “Bold Takes” To ESPN’s ‘First Take’
Cam Newton has a new position. The former NFL quarterback has been announced as a new series regular on ESPN’s First Take. The news was first exclusively reported by The Hollywood Reporter. With the announcement, the 35-year-old shared what he hopes to add to the popular platform.
The father of eight is set to make his debut on Friday (Oct. 11) during a live taping at Tennessee State University as part of the program’s HBCU roadshow during the institution’s homecoming weekend.
“I’ve always brought passion and energy into everything I do, and that won’t change at ESPN,” Newton detailed. “I’m looking forward to the opportunity to share my perspective and go toe-to-toe with the best in the business. Fans can expect the same intensity I brought to the field, along with real talk, bold takes, and good fun
First Take is hosted by Stephen A. Smith and Molly Qerim, and airs weekday mornings from 10 a.m. to noon. The show features expert opinions and analysis on the most compelling and entertaining topics from around the world of sports. Additional commentators include Pro Football Hall of Famer Shannon Sharpe, Sirius XM’s Chris ‘Mad Dog’ Russo, and many others.
