Boosie Badazz Calls For “Armed Snipers” At Every School Following Apalachee Tragedy In Georgia

Boosie Badazz has offered his opinion on how gun violence in schools can be prevented.

The rapper took to social media on Thursday (Sept. 5) to vent about the need for armed snipers on campuses and the need to protect the youth. Using the hashtag #AnotherSchoolShooting on X, the Louisiana native’s thoughts follow a deadly school shooting on Wednesday at Apalachee High School in Winder, Ga.

“THE NEXT PRESIDENT NEED TO MAKE A LAW THAT PUTS 4 ARMED SNIPERS N EVERY SCHOOL N THIS COUNTRY TO PROTECT OUR CHILDREN,” elaborated the 41-year-old. “EVERY YEAR THIS COUNTRY SHREDS BILLIONS OF DOLLARS AT THE END OF THE YEAR N THROWS IT AWAY. WHY CANT SOME OF THAT MONEY BE SPENT TO PROTECT OUT CHILDREN? WE PROTECT SPORTS, ENTERTAINMENT VENUES,CASINOS, FEDERAL BUILDINGS ETC.”

He continued, “WE PROTECT ANYTHING THAT BRINGS MONEY BUT WE CANT PROTECT OUR OWN FLESH N BLOOD #thechildren CALLING MY BABY MOMAS ‘IM THINKING HOME SCHOOL.’”

The deadly shooting at the Georgia high school claimed the lives of two 14-year-old students – Christian Angulo and Mason Schermerhorn, and two teachers – 53-year-old math teacher Cristina Irimie and 39-year-old assistant football coach Richard Aspinwall, per CNN. Nine others were injured during the tragic events and are expected to make a full recovery.

A student, Colt Gray, was identified as the shooter in the killing spree. In May 2023, Gray and his father Colin Grey were questioned for “online threats to commit a school shooting” that included photos of guns, according to a joint statement from FBI Atlanta and the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office. Colt Grey explained the incident by saying “someone is accusing him of threatening to shoot up a school, stating that he would never say such a thing, even in a joking manner.”

Friday morning, Colt Grey was arraigned in a Barrow County courtroom on four counts of felony murder and, per CNN, he is cooperating with law enforcement. Colin Grey was also arraigned on four counts of involuntary manslaughter, two counts of second-degree murder, and eight counts of cruelty to children. He is accused of purchasing the AR-style rifle used in the Apalachee High School shooting as a holiday present for his son in December 2023, despite the May 2023 inquiry according to two law enforcement sources with direct knowledge of the investigation.
