‘BEL-AIR’ Renewed For Fourth And Final Season At Peacock
Fans of BEL-AIR have received bittersweet news.
On Tuesday (Dec. 3), the cast that brings the Peacock original to life shared the television show has been renewed for a fourth and final season. In a video shared across social media, the stars including Jabari Banks, Coco Jones, and Olly Sholotan confirm the Banks family is coming back.
“Congrats everyone!! Gonna be a good one,” wrote Will Smith in the comments on Instagram.
According to Deadline, the opening installment will consist of eight episodes, unlike the previous three seasons which had 10 episodes each.
BEL-AIR debuted in February 2022 after creator and executive producer Morgan Cooper wrote and directed the four-minute spec trailer, inspired by The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, which went viral in March 2019. The reimagining of the 1990s comedy is produced by Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group and Westbrook Studios. Carla Banks Waddles serves as showrunner, writer, and executive producer.
The series has featured notable guests across seasons, including original cast members from The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air Tatyana Ali, Joseph Marcell, Vernee Watson-Johnson, and Daphne Maxwell Reid, along with Bianca Belair, Bill Bellamy, Justin Cornwell, Andra Day, Melissa De Sousa, Nicholas Duvernay, Dulé Hill, Anna Maria Horsford, April Parker Jones, Melanie Liburd, Jazlyn Martin, Vic Mensa, DK Metcalf, Saweetie, Alycia Pascual-Peña, David Ramsey, Karrueche Tran, Joivan Wade and Marlon Wayans.
