Ashanti Flaunts Baby Bump Following Official Pregnancy Announcement
Ashanti is basking in her newfound motherhood after officially announcing her pregnancy with Nelly on Wednesday (April 17).
While attending the POSSIBLE Marketing Conference in Miami on the same day, Ashanti wore a blue body-hugging gown that accentuated her baby bump.
The Grammy-winning singer stood up on stage and gave the audience a 360 of her ensemble, leaving the audience in awe.

The couple has kept their news under wraps for months, even when it was pretty obvious that they were expecting. In a published interview with ESSENCE magazine on Wednesday (April 17), the “Baby” singer officially shared her life news. She also revealed that she and Nelly are engaged.
“This new year of my life is such a blessing full of love, hope, and anticipation,” she said. “Motherhood is something that I have looked forward to, and sharing this with my family, fiancé, and loyal fans, who have been so supportive of my career, is an amazing experience.”
To add to the excitement, the 43-year-old starred in a comedy sketch on her Instagram, where she revealed the news to her mother while promoting Proov fertility tests.
Ashanti’s mom shut down a host during a panel in March who sent their congrats to Ashanti on the perceived pregnancy at the time. The momager quickly corrected the host by stating, “There’s been no announcement, it hasn’t come out yet, so, you know, until I hear it from Ashanti and Nelly…”
The lovers reunited after dating from 2003 to approximately 2013 and will be expecting their first child together. Nelly already has two children: a 29-year-old daughter, Chanelle, and a 24-year-old son, Cornell Haynes III, from previous relationships.
Nelly also adopted his niece and nephew, Shawn and Sydney Thomas, after his sister, Jackie Donahue, past from leukemia in 2005.
