Angel Reese Surprises Megan Thee Stallion On Stage At Lollapalooza
The rapper girlies crossing over with WNBA stars is something that will never get old. During Megan Thee Stallion‘s headlining set at Lollapalooza on Thursday night (Aug. 1), she received an unexpected visit from one of her friends, Angel Reese.
Right as the Hot Girl was gearing up to delve into her next song, the music paused as Angel Reese and her friend Nabeela ran onto the stage. Megan expressed her genuine surprise as her eyes widened and jaw dropped, and then the three exchanged big hugs. The Chicago Sky star playfully gave Meg’s butt a pinch and the two giddily hugged again. Then, the Houston native snapped back into game mode and blasted off into an energetic rendition of “Where Them Girls At” from her MEGAN album.
Check out the endearing moment below.
The “COBRA” rapper was booked as a replacement after Tyler, The Creator had to unexpectedly drop out of the Chicago fest. During her set, she performed several tracks from her aforementioned MEGAN album, which boasted features from Kyle Richh, GloRilla, UGK, Big K.R.I.T., Buddah Bless, and Japanese rapper Yuki Chiba, the last of whom spit a verse on their viral hit, “Mamushi.”
The 22-year-old athlete is well-loved in the Hip-Hop community, so her surprise appearance made perfect sense. Back in May, she linked up with Meg and GloRilla backstage during the Windy City stop on the Hot Girl Summer Tour. That same month, Latto pulled up to her WNBA debut game, where she declared that Reese was the main reason she was there. Lastly, Cardi B gave Reese a shoutout during her verse on Latto’s “Put It On Da Floor Again.” Revisit the song below and livestream Lollapalooza online free with a free trial to Hulu here.
