5 Takeaways From The Season 2 Premiere of Caresha Please
While rumors swirled throughout social media as to the uncertain fate of Revolt TV’s popular podcast “Caresha Please,” the unexpected return of a special episode hit YouTube Thursday night with its host in the hotseat.
Rapper Saucy Santana interviewed the City Girl Yung Miami who has most recently been romantically linked to disgraced hip-hop mogul and former owner of Revolt TV network Sean “Diddy” Combs. Santana, who is best friends with Miami and has guest starred on a few episodes of the award-winning podcast, asked about Caresha’s fallout with her labelmate and girl group member JT, the status of her relationship with Diddy, and mental health.
Here are 5 takeaways:
Caresha on Mental Health
“I’m all over the place,” she said as she began to tear up. “Mentally, one minute I’m happy, one minute I’m sad.”
Caresha says that she largely felt throughout the controversy involving Diddy, that fans turned on the City Girl to which Saucy Santana agreed.
Diddy Allegations
“I got with Diddy and brought him into my life,” she said when Santana asked about her intentions.
Caresha, a two-time survivor of domestic violence, she says, would not allow for Diddy assaulting her. Thus, her experience with Diddy did not involve abuse.
“I can’t speak on something I don’t know. That wasn’t my experience.”
Fallout With JT
“Shit ain’t all good, and it’s not all bad. I still look at her as family.”
Caresha said once her and JT’s conflict was taken to the internet, it became personal. “I feel like you’re trying to get people to pick a side.”
JT had been working on new music, according to Caresha, and Miami claims to have not been aware of it. The two living in different cities (Los Angeles and Miami at the time) made things worse. At one point, they were only speaking during performances and interviews.
“Ain’t no money in the group and that’s what made me start my own brand,” Caresha said. “It just wasn’t connecting.”
JT vs Cardi B “I Just Woke Up”
“I just felt like that situation was between JT and Cardi.”
During the “Super Freaky Girl (Remix)” hype, JT and Cardi began to go back and forth on X, and fans wondered why Caresha didn’t jump to JT’s defense. Miami makes a point to bring light to the fact that she wasn’t called to be featured on the record.
Is Caresha Still Dating Diddy
“I’m not (still dating Puff). I said I was going to tell my truth,” Caresha said quickly. “I just needed to take a break and focus on what was important which is me and my career, because I can’t get caught up in all that.”
Caresha credits Diddy with seeing more in her initially and motivating her to see herself as a mogul. Throughout the interview, her she credits the mogul for teaching her, and pouring into her by giving her a business mindset.
