Cassie Shares First Update Since Testifying In Diddy Trial, Giving Birth To Third Child

Cassandra Fine, more commonly known as Cassie, has had a whirlwind of a year. She was a key witness who took the stand in the highly publicized Sean “Diddy” Combs federal sex trafficking trial in May, and that same month, she gave birth to her third child with husband Alex Fine. After taking time for herself to privately recover physically and mentally, the “Me & U” singer has provided a public update with her fans for the first time since.
On Thursday evening (Aug. 7), Cassie shared a video on her Instagram Stories that provided context about where she is at in her postpartum journey. She reposted a video from the @momswithplans page of a man dancing among a group of people, but repeatedly taking pauses as he seemingly contemplates continuing. The caption in the clip read, “When your old self slowly starts coming out postpartum,” and it was backtracked by “Wild Thoughts” by DJ Khaled.
Ventura added in the comments, “Factual. Little by little. lol.”

The Platinum-selling songstress welcomed a son on May 27, nine days after she took the stand at the aforementioned New York City trial. Over the course of several days, she recounted the years of mental and physical abuse, detailed the infamous “freak-offs,” and spoke about the origins of their decade-long relationship.
She was accompanied by her husband every step of the way. The two got married in August 2019 and had their first daughter that December, and their second in March 2021.
Earlier this year, Cassie celebrated Fine’s birthday with a heartfelt post that detailed how thankful she is for their life together. “There aren’t words to describe how grateful I am that I get to do this life with you! The laughter and pure joy that I get to experience with you is beyond any of my dreams and manifestations. You’ve taken care of me and my heart like no other, you’re hands down the best girl dad and I’m SO excited to see you now become a father to OUR SON,” she wrote in March.
