Shannon Sharpe, Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson Sued For $20M By Viral Usher Concertgoer: Report

A woman who shot into viral fame after attending an Usher concert has sued Shannon Sharpe for his commentary on the clip. Jimalita Tillman has taken legal action against Sharpe as well as his Nightcap co-host Chad “Ocho Cinco” Johnson, and the podcast’s production company, Shay Shay Media, for “false and defamatory statements.” Exclusively reported by The U.S. Sun, her effort to collect $20 million in damages is fueled by the two men claiming her husband filed for divorce after she and Usher had a steamy, on-camera moment during his tour earlier this year.

“On April 2, 2025, I participated in a fan engagement moment at a Usher Raymond concert where I interacted with the artist as a selected audience member,” the lawsuit detailed. “Following this event, the defendants made and disseminated false and defamatory statements suggesting that I was married and that my husband was filing for divorce due to my participation in this audience experience, I am not married, nor am I currently going through a divorce.”

The suit continued, “I was not married at the time of the fan participation moment during the Usher concert,” and added, “The defendants’ false narratives were shared widely across their platforms, reaching millions of followers, viral spread and refutation efforts, despite my clear and public reputation of the false narrative.”

Tillman also claimed that she had “made numerous efforts to contact the defendants to request the removal of this false narrative, but these requests were disregarded.”

“The ongoing misinformation has resulted in emotional distress for the plaintiff, damaged her reputation, and adversely affected her personal and professional relationships,” explained the lawsuit.

As claimed in the litigation, Tillman has previously spoken out regarding the false narrative that surrounded her time in the spotlight.

“That is completely false. I am single,” Tillman elaborated at the time. “I am a retired homeschool mom looking to expand the arts here and across the pond. I am single. You got a cherry, give me a jingle.”

She continued, “When he came around with those cherries, I said, ‘Well, life is a bowl of cherries, I’ll take one, maybe two.”

VIBE has contacted representatives for both Sharpe and Ocho Cinco for a statement on the pending lawsuit.
