Gervonta “Tank” Davis Arrested On Domestic Violence Charges In Miami

Gervonta “Tank” Davis has been arrested in South Florida for domestic violence.
Local outlets report that the popular boxer was arrested and booked at 3:35 a.m. EDT at Miami’s Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center for an incident involving his ex-girlfriend that transpired weeks prior. Reporter Andy Slater claims Davis is suspected to have hit his ex in the back of the head, as well as slapping her. He adds that officers have been looking for him since the incident. He was pulled over in Miami Beach after his plates were flagged.

The alleged attack took place on June 15, Father’s Day, shortly after 9PM. As Davis attempted to pick up his children from their mother’s home, the two got into a verbal altercation that somehow turned physical, his ex told police. She added that being struck twice caused a laceration. Police also say that she provided them with footage of the argument, where Davis is allegedly seen throwing a small box at her.
The woman’s mother also claims to have witnessed the aftermath of the incident, saying that her daughter was, “visibly distressed and crying.”
