Kodak Black Covers Rental Payments For Hundreds Of Florida Residents

Kodak Black is once again making headlines for his philanthropy, this time for reportedly covering rental payments for hundreds of Floridian residents in need.
The Pompano Beach native’s latest charitable act has been met with both gratitude and admiration, especially from his longtime attorney, Bradford Cohen, who took to Instagram on Wednesday (April 16) to commend Kodak’s consistent generosity.
In a post sharing a screenshot of an article about the rapper’s good deed, Cohen wrote, “He’s done so much that isn’t even in the press. Paying for funerals and kids’ college funds, law school education, food, air conditioners during heat waves, supporting fallen FBI agents even when one of their own has continually harassed him.”

He added that this gesture, which reportedly impacted 200 families, was simply Kodak “doing what he does best.”
Local resident Vince Thompson took to social media to thank the hitmaker for lightening his and his fellow residents’ financial loads, revealing that it’s not the first time Kodak has covered rent for families in the community.
“He may not want the limelight, but for the 2nd month straight @KodakBlack has paid the rent for over 200 residents in Golden Acres the entire projects!” Mr. Thompson wrote in his post.

“A lot of people shine light on the negativity. I’ma see how many people share the positive things you do fam. You’re a blessing to a lot of people. Thank you!!”
The “Super Gremlin” artist has made it a point over the years to use his platform and wealth to uplift underserved communities throughout South Florida. From surprise giveaways to covering tuition, Kodak’s commitment to giving back is deeply rooted in his upbringing and personal experiences.
This isn’t the first time the Gift for the Streets rapper has stepped up for struggling families. In 2022, he teamed up with the Zachariah McQueen Foundation to help pay rent for residents in West Palm Beach facing eviction.

The year before, he distributed air conditioners to residents of Golden Acres—an act of kindness that, while well-intentioned, drew criticism from the local housing authority due to safety and public disturbance concerns.
Regardless of controversy, Kodak Black continues to make an undeniable impact on his community, proving time and time again that his heart is just as big as his talent.
