Ye Dubs His “New Sound” As “Antisemitic”

Ye (formerly known as Kanye West) has labeled the sound of his new album after his antisemitic rhetoric.

“This next album got that antisemitic sound,” West posted to X in a now-deleted tweet on Thursday afternoon (Mar. 6). “My new sound called antisemitic.”

In a separate post-and-delete, he referenced the “We Don’t Care” track from his 2004 debut album, The College Dropout, when tweeting, “PEOPLE USED TO TELL ME BLACK RICH VOCAL PICK TWO OR THEY’LL KILL YOU KIIIIDS SING KIIIIDS SING JOKES ON YOU IM STILL ALIVE.”

According to a former anonymous employee of his, Ye initially wanted to name his 2018 eponymous album after Hitler.

“He would praise Hitler by saying how incredible it was that he was able to accumulate so much power and would talk about all the great things he and the Nazi Party achieved for the German people,” they stated.

His new album, Bully, is scheduled to drop on eldest daughter North West’s 12th birthday, June 15.

Days later, over on Instagram, Ye announced the return of Sunday Service.

On Saturday (Mar. 8), the Chicago-bred emcee shared that the collective would return on Sunday, Mar. 16. The date announcement was paired with a screenshot of a text exchange with Sunday Service’s choir director Jason White, per Billboard.

The following day, Ye posted a photo of white robes that resembled those worn by the white supremacist group, Ku Klux Klan. He captioned the photo “Outfit of the day.”

Ye launched Sunday Service in early 2019 and it ran through 2021. The pop-up events were often streamed live in various cities including Los Angeles, Chicago, New York, Detroit, Houston, and Washington, D.C.

The Sunday Service Choir’s debut album, Jesus Is Born, came out on Christmas 2019 and peaked No. 2 on the Billboard Top Gospel Albums chart.
