Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, is up to his old tricks again with yet another series of fiery tweets that are as offensive as they are random. Charlamagne Tha God, however, believes that this recent outburst isn’t random and has something to do with Kendrick Lamar being the talk of the internet and entertainment at large.
The Chicago producer took to X to declare himself a Nazi, praise Hitler, insult larger women, and call for Diddy to be freed. Though this isn’t unlike anything he has done throughout his career, the specific statements and the timing have caused The Breakfast Club host to try and look deeper. “You know, if he wants to ride for Diddy… Nothing wrong with that, that’s on him,” the controversial media personality said.
“But we do realize Kanye has been acting out all week because he’s envious of Kendrick’s moment, right?” His co-host Jess Hilarious mentioned that the Vultures artist recently revealed that he was diagnosed with autism, but Charlamagne believed that was also an attempt to get the world’s attention focused on himself, especially because K. Dot achieved something that Ye unsuccessfully tried to do.

“He wishes this was him, because Kendrick is having a moment for being a prolific artist who took out his number one opp, Drake,” Charlamagne Tha God added. “Kanye wishes that was him in this moment, so he’s been doing all these antics for attention all week because he’s trying to get people to do exactly what they’re doing right now, and that’s talking about him.” He labeled West’s outburst a side show in comparison to Kendrick Lamar’s five victories at the 67th Grammys this past weekend and his upcoming performance at Super Bowl LIX.
Jess Hilarious focused on Ye’s relationship with Bianca Censori and her lack of clothing at the Grammys, calling their spectacle “cheap.” Charlamagne agreed but broadened it to everything the multi-time Grammy winner is doing. “You using the right word,” he said. “All these antics are cheap, meanwhile you got people on that stage being rewarded for their art the way that you used to, Kanye. Kendrick Lamar got rewarded five times for a diss record to your number one opp, you wish that was you… We don’t care, Kanye… I don’t care that you’re a billionaire, there’s plenty of corny-a** billionaires.”
Through all of the backlash, the father of four is confident he will continue to succeed. In one of his tweets, he claimed that he would win 20 Grammys next year and perform at the Super Bowl despite publicly supporting Diddy; he also promoted a Yeezy collaboration with Sean John, which you can see below. If that’s not a sign that Kendrick Lamar outpacing him is on his brain, then time will tell what else he says or does to make it clear that Charlamagne may be on to something. Noticeably, Ye did not mention Kendrick once but he still said a lot without actually doing so.
