50 Cent Goes Full Villain With Reaction To Irv Gotti’s Passing

Murder Inc. Records founder Irv Gotti — born Irving Lorenzo Jr. — passed away Wednesday (Feb. 5), and while most are offering their condolences to his loved ones, longtime nemesis 50 Cent decided to take one last dig at the record exec with a trolling Instagram post.

The snap shared by the “In Da Club” rapper finds him seated on a couch smoking hookah with a decorative tombstone placed by his side reading “RIP.”

“I’m smoking on dat Gotti pack,” 50 wrote before adding, “nah God bless him LOL.”

The second slide features a photo of Gotti taken at the City of Hope 2023 Spirit of Life Gala, just so there’s no mistake as to who the Queens rapper is referring.

While shocking for many, those who have followed 50 Cent on social media may not be too surprised, as he also trolled Gotti following news that the label head recently suffered a second stroke following his first in August 2024.

“Damn I wanted him to see my new shows yo!” the television executive captioned a graphic stating that Gotti was on life support and saying his final goodbyes.

Following rumors of Gotti suffering a second stroke — resulting in a brain bleed — the producer’s passing was confirmed by The Hollywood Reporter after first being reported by AllHipHop. Gotti’s Def Jam colleague Lyor Cohen has since offered his condolences while praising what he brought to the label.

“Def Jam has lost one of its most creative soldiers who was hip-hop,” said Cohen, the global head of music at YouTube. “When we were on bended knee, he brought the heat and saved our a**es. He comes from a very tight beautiful family from Queens and it’s an honor and a privilege to have known him. Irv, you will be missed.”
