Ye was again accused of using a sample without permission
His new album, Bully, isn’t out yet, but Ye is already accused of using another sample without permission.
Last week a spoiler of one of the songs from the project was published online and, even if the track in question may never be released, the French singer Claire Pommet accuses Ye of having used the sample of one of her songs (soleil soleil) without the his permission.
Pommet said on social media that she did not agree with Ye’s “political positions”, despite having been a fan of hers in the past.
“I do not know the source of the video and audio content circulating these days on social media, but I have never given my consent for the use of this sample for reasons that seem obvious to me“he said. “I profoundly disagree with the political positions of this artist who I have admired in the past. Sometimes it’s difficult to give up certain opportunities, but I try to stay true to what I believe in“, concluded the singer.
Ye did not comment, in the meantime however he was in the Maldives for Bianca Censori’s 30th birthday, made peace with Kai Cenat and once again accused Adidas of having copied his Yeezys and of using the brand improperly just to make money, underlining that he sells the real Yeezys on yeezy.com for $20.
