A man accusing Sean “Diddy” Combs of a violent sexual assault is speaking out. In a video interview with CNN’s Elizabeth Wagmeister, John Doe described the encounter in detail. The network darkens his face and body as well as alters his voice to keep his identity private.
“I have a semblance of a life, a very quiet life. I would prefer what little is left of it to be left alone,” Doe explained of his decision to remain anonymous.
According to his account, he was hired as security for one of Combs’ now infamous all-white parties. Doe alleges that he was drugged and sodomized by the disgraced mogul, being shoved into a vehicle where the assault allegedly took place. He also claims another high-profile individual “saw what happened and found it amusing.”
When speaking to CNN, Doe’s version of events featured differences from the details in the October 2024 lawsuit filed alongside more than 100 accusers who are represented by attorneys Tony Buzbee and Andrew Van Arsdale. Since speaking with CNN, Doe and his lawyer have amended their filing to accurately reflect his allegations.
In detail, he described how Combs allegedly served him a drink laced with GHB, and ecstasy, before he was forcibly pushed into an empty vehicle and raped.
“The first drink started to have some affect on me and I just thought, ‘Wow these are really strong drinks.’ It wasn’t until the second drink — and it was already too late — that I realized that there was something wrong with the drinks,” detailed Doe. “Sadly, Sean Combs was waiting in the wings. He was watching from some sort of vantage point and once I was in a helpless position and he was sure that he was in a position of power, then he took advantage of the situation.”
He continued to elaborate, “I was screaming, I was telling him to stop. It was incredibly painful, and he was acting like it was nothing and he seemed to be disconnected from it. But it was abusive beyond belief.”
Doe claims the attack happened in 2007 at a party in the Hamptons. In his story, he explains he disclosed the assault to his supervisor only to be blacklisted by the security firm and eventually had to shift industries. He also claims that his marriage ended as a result of the alleged abuse and that he continuously suffers from emotional pain and mental health issues.
“Nothing could give me back the person I was before that evening.”
In October, Combs exclaimed that he “emphatically and categorically denies as false and defamatory any claim that he sexually abused anyone,” in a statement through his legal team. The Harlem native remains behind bars after his September arrest for racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion, and transportation to engage in prostitution.
Earlier this week, JAY-Z was tied to the heinous allegations against Combs with a victim accusing the Brooklyn rapper of rape. The alleged victim, represented by Tony Buzbee, is said to have been 13 at the time of the incident. In the suit, the victim claims JAY-Z, legal name Shawn Carter, “took off her clothes, pinned her down, and began raping her while Diddy and an unnamed female celebrity watched,” as well as other forcible actions.
The Roc Nation founder asserted the lawsuit as an extortion attempt, firing back and calling Buzbee “an ambulance chaser in a cheap suit,” and proclaiming his innocence. Carter does not face any criminal charges related to Combs’s accused crimes and alleged illicit behaviors.
