August Alsina Responds To Being Called A “Gay Bi**h” After Discussing His Sexuality

August Alsina is seemingly unbothered by a fan referring to him as a “gay bi**h” while also giving the crooner a compliment. The statement comes days after a conversation with Alsina went viral as he discussed opening himself up to a same-sex relationship.

“August Alsina music still slap. You gay bi**h you,” tweeted a fan, with the “I Luv It” singer resharing the post with several laugh emojis. He was also sure to clarify that he found the tweet funny and took no offense, as another fan replied in his defense, “I was about to get to cussing till I seen you laughing at it, lmfao, people are wild.”

“Na, no need. Dat sh*t was funny asl,” he replied. Check out both posts below.

Alsina’s viral appearance The Counsel Culture Show found the Louisiana singer sharing his belief that God played a part in him being open to dating men, a statement that was met with backlash from several viewers.

“It’s not even me that’s opening my heart. It’s that power that’s higher than myself,” he began to Nick Cannon and other co-hosts who asked about his sexuality. “I always say that the greatest gift that God could ever give me was exposure—to expose me to so many different kinds of people, places, and things. When people want you to define yourself [in terms of sexuality], love is much more complex than that.”

Rapper and reality star Akbar V was one of the more vocal observers to share their thoughts, dismissing Alsina’s belief that his desire to date men has something to do with The Lord.

“Jesus ain’t did nun like this y’all play with God too much … He gives us a choice… How did God do this and he says it’s a sin? So does that mean God is a liar?” she commented on a repost of the interview clip. “Kids, don’t believe this. God don’t do this … His word don’t come back void … If He says don’t do this and someone says He told him to do this, that means you’re calling God a liar, and God is not a liar … Now, I’m not the one to judge ’cause we all fall short of His glory, but don’t put God in your worldly foolishness.”

Alsina appeared to respond to Akbar subtly after promoting his new fragrance on Instagram, writing, “M E S S A G E ?️ !! .. there’s a lot more that could be said, but I don’t want to interrupt the Grace of God over life that speaks the loudest. Stay well!”
