Steph Curry Leads Team USA To Victory

Team USA’s men’s basketball team has won against France, beating them 98-87 in the final at the Paris Games on Saturday night. This is the fifth consecutive win for Team USA’s men’s basketball team in the Olympics with Steph Curry leading the team to victory.

Curry’s four 3-pointers in the final 2 minutes of the game finalized the win for Team USA with only 1:19 remaining. This is the 17th in 20 all-time appearances for the Americans at the games.

Team USA’s ability to shoot and land 3-pointers made the difference—50% (18-for36) from the U.S. and only 30% (9-for-30) for France from behind the arc.

Kevin Durant makes history with this win as the most awarded gold medalist in Olympic basketball history. Together with Devin Booker, he scored 15 for Team USA. Lebron James now has three gold medals and one bronze, scored 14.

Per Yahoo Sports, “Victor Wembanyama scored a game-high 26 points with seven rebounds. Guerschon Yabusele followed with 20 and Nando De Colo added 12. Nicolas Batum grabbed eight rebounds.”

Team France lost to USA three years ago at a closer margin—87-82 in Tokyo.
