Angel Reese, Sha’Carri Richardson, Naomi Osaka Tapped For New Beats Solo Campaign
Beats continues to tap prominent athletes in various sports to back their popular premium audio gadgets — with Angel Reese, Sha’Carri Richardson and Naomi Osaka as its latest recruits.
The newly-drafted WNBA Chicago Sky player, history-making track runner and record-breaking tennis star have all joined Beats for the newest edition of its signature Solo 4 headphones and wireless earbuds. In the campaign video, all three ladies are on set for photoshoots curated with their respective fields in mind. As they prep with makeup and hair, each lady sports the headset — including Reese turning up to one of her favorite tunes.
The all-new line of Beats Solo Buds comes in four new colors including Matte Black, Storm Gray, Arctic Purple and Transparent Red, retailing at $79.99. For the new installation of Solo headphones, consumers will get new color-ways of Matte Black, Slate Blue and Cloud Pink ($199.99), which all three ladies are sporting in the campaign.

Reese, Richardson and Osaka are the perfect faces to represent Beats, as each athlete knows what it takes to prepare, compete, and win. The 21-year-old former LSU star recently spoke with VIBE about her influence as a young, competitive athlete, who also happens to be a Black woman.
“Being able to leave my impact, giving young girls the look that they can do these things — I want them to have a face and understand they can have these same opportunities that I have,” she said. “You never really see a young Black girl being able to do this.” Check out the video below.
The olympic track runner also spoke on her influence last year during her acceptance speech for the Jackie Joyner-Kersee Athlete of the Year for Women Award.
“I understand the influence that I have,” Richardson began. “I understand the responsibility that I have to USATF and as a top female USA athlete, and to my country, and to my Black family, to my beautiful women, to everybody that has been misunderstood for trying to be their best selves and not be put into a category because they do track and field and have been put in a bubble.”
While speaking on a mental health and sports panel last year, the 2020 U.S. Open champion spoke on prioritizing her own, and also acknowledged her individuality, despite having her “bad” days.
“Every person is unique in this world and that’s something that no one can take away, and you just got [to] appreciate that and know that you’re special, and I don’t think people say that enough,” she said.
