Drake Scolds Fans For Lackluster Applause After Bringing Lil Wayne Out On Tour
Drake called out fans during a recent It’s All a Blur — Big As the What? Tour date in Florida, where the crowd showed less interest for Lil Wayne‘s first night as his co-headliner.
The show, which took place on Saturday (March 23), saw the 6 God return to the stage after introducing the Hip-Hop living legend and hearing the lackluster applause.
“Naw, naw, naw, ‘cuz look. These are my favorite moments in life right now,” Drake began while running to the stage. “Ay, Florida. From the top of the mountain emerges the motherf**king greatest of all time. If y’all don’t make some f**king noise for my brother Lil Wayne!” The audience then roared louder than they did before.
The New Orleans legend — alongside Drake and J. Cole — is set to co-headline five more shows including New York, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey before the tour concludes.
Despite having to check the crowd, the “First Person Shooter” wordsmith also used the stage to address recent shots aimed at him by Kendrick Lamar on the new single “Like That.”
Hailing from Future and Metro Boomin’s newest album We Don’t Trust You, K.dot raps: “It’s time for him to prove that he’s a problem/ Ni**as clickin’ up, but cannot be legit, no 40 Water/ Get up with me/ F**k sneak dissin’, first-person shooter, I hope they came with three switches.” He also proclaims, “Motherf**k the big three/Ni**a, it’s just big me,” which is a shot at Drake and J. Cole as well.
In response, Drake told the crowd during the Florida show, “A lot of people asking me how I’m feeling. I got my head up high, my back straight. I’m 10 f**king toes down in Florida or anywhere else I go. And I know no matter what there’s not a ni**a on this Earth that could ever f**k with me in my life.”
